For nonprofits
Keep the editor. Keep the donations.
Your team and volunteers can keep using WordPress. We rebuild the public site, plan around your donation platform, and check accessibility and Ad Grants requirements before launch. We review your website, donation platform, and grant requirements, then give you a written plan before the build starts.
What we see
A website is a lot for a small team to manage
Limited technical support
55% of nonprofits use WordPress.org, and NTEN finds that organisations with no technology staff average nearly 60% risk flags in its assessments. Clear documentation helps the next staff member or volunteer understand how the site works.
Plenty of plugins to maintain
Forms, events, donations, memberships, and galleries may each rely on a plugin. Keeping them updated and working together adds to your team's workload.
Accessibility work to plan for
Only 26% of nonprofits say their site is designed for people with visual and hearing impairments. More than 5,000 accessibility lawsuits were filed in 2025, and most targeted organisations under $25 million in revenue.
A grant with website requirements
Google Ad Grants requires HTTPS everywhere, working links, mobile display, substantial mission content, and fast pages. These checks need a place in your website maintenance routine.
The rules that apply
What your new site needs to support
We plan around the things your organisation depends on: donations, access to information, and any website requirements attached to your grant.
Google Ad Grants website policy
Google requires HTTPS across your website, pages that work on phones and tablets, working links, substantial original content about your mission, and fast loading times. We check the technical requirements before launch. Your team provides and maintains the mission content.

Accessibility for organisations of every size
UsableNet reviewed more than 5,000 ADA digital accessibility lawsuits filed in 2025. Sixty-four percent targeted organisations with under $25 million in revenue, and accessibility widgets did not slow the litigation. We build accessibility checks into the template work.

Donation forms and their exceptions
Supported donation forms can be embedded in the new site. GiveWP still runs on WordPress, but version 4.17 adds a cross-site embed option. We review your provider, version, forms, payment flow, and recurring gifts before planning the connection, then test donations before launch.

Keeping the public site secure
The UK government's 2026 survey found that 28% of charities experienced a breach or attack in the previous year. In July 2025 a critical flaw in a nonprofit WordPress theme was exploited before its disclosure to install backdoors and rogue administrator accounts. Separating the public site reduces direct exposure to WordPress, but does not remove all security risks. The WordPress editor still needs security controls and maintenance.

Stays the same
What your team keeps
- Your team keeps editing in WordPress, with the same login, roles, and media library
- We review and test your donation forms, including the WordPress connection if you use GiveWP
- Your SEO plugin data, custom fields, and existing URLs carry over
- Your CRM, email tool, and event platform keep their integrations
Changes
What the rebuild replaces
- The public site is rebuilt in Astro, with accessibility checks and pages served over HTTPS from a content delivery network
- Plugins used only to display the public site are removed; the ones that manage content stay
- WordPress administration moves off the public domain
- Previews and publishing are connected and tested, with an agreed delay between publishing and the live site updating
How it runs
How we rebuild your nonprofit's site
Map what the site must do
Donations, volunteer forms, events, newsletters, the annual report. We list every job the site does and which plugin or platform does it today.
Plan for donations first
We confirm how your donation platform embeds, test it on a preview of the new site, and agree what happens to any WordPress-only forms before design starts.
Rebuild and connect
We build the Astro templates, check accessibility, and connect your WordPress content. We test previews and publishing with your editors and agree how long updates can take to reach the live site.
Check the grant rules and launch
We check the Ad Grants website requirements and your existing addresses. Changed addresses redirect to relevant replacements where available; removed pages without replacements return 404 or 410. We document the setup for the next person who maintains the site.
Questions
What nonprofits teams ask first
Short answers here. The full picture comes from a review of your site.
We use GiveWP. Does this still work?
GiveWP still runs on WordPress, and version 4.17 adds a cross-site form embed option. We review your version, forms, payment flow, donor history, and recurring gifts before planning the connection. We test the chosen setup before launch.
Will this affect our Google Ad Grant?
We include the website requirements in the launch checks: HTTPS, mobile display, working links, and fast pages. We also plan around your existing URLs so ads continue to point to the right landing pages. Your team remains responsible for the grant's content requirements.
We have no technical staff. Who maintains it?
Your team keeps using WordPress. We document the accounts and maintenance steps when we hand over the site. If you would like us to handle ongoing maintenance, you can add a care plan.
Can volunteers still edit pages?
Yes. Nothing changes about who can log in or what they can edit. Previews show them the new site before they publish.
What does it cost?
The price depends on your page templates and the tools the site connects to. We review those first, then give you a written plan and fixed price before you commit.
